My favourite alleyway in bath. It doesn't go anywhere - there's just mysterious a dead end, but it looks as though it should, and it's all a bit medieval. It was also good for getting some peace and dark, until some busybody gated it off, creating a fire-escape hazard annoying people who like hanging around dark alleyways (like me) and people who don't like hauling their wheelie bin up four flights of stairs.
I had to get in an awkward, and moderately dangerous, position to take this shot: Hanging onto a railing and sticking my arm out as far as I can.
I have a lanyard attached to my phone, so I can't drop it.
