When I was 9, I soaped a neighbor's screens because he didn't give us any treats. I knew better and on my way home, I stepped into a pile of smoldering leaves - burned my foot badly AND threw all my treats into the air! My sister, about 6, tried to retrieve my loot - to no avail. Guess that was my comeuppance for being naughty! Of course I had to tell my parents what happened... and I think I voluntarily quit trick or treating after that!
