Springfield Rolls-Royce

The crême-de-la-crême of the classic cars on display in Lakeland gathered around Lake Mirror as participants in the Concours d’Élegance. What a mouth-watering selection was on show, such as this Rolls-Royce Phantom that came out of the company’s Springfield, Massachusetts factory. Between 1920 and 1931, Rolls-Royce met US demand for its cars from this factory, producing around 3,000 Ghost and Phantom chassis. Many like this example received bodywork by Brewster. The barrel-shaped headlights are an easy identifier for the Springfield product.
