East Wacker ensemble
A clutch of 1920s skyscrapers along Chicago’s East Wacker Drive make for a pleasing ensemble. At the left is the London Guarantee Building of 1923. The architect was Alfred S. Alschuler. The needle top of the Mather Tower projects in between. At the right is 35 East Wacker Drive, also known as the Jeweler’s Building. Designed by Joachim G. Giaver and Frederick P.
