Triple commemorations
Retaining ownership of former London General RML2317 (CUV317C), Go-Ahead Group painted the vehicle in a commemorative Thomas Tilling livery and moved it to Brighton, where Tilling had once-operated ST-type vehicles. RML2317 was also given the name Colin Curtis, celebrating the Brighton-born engineer who designed the Routemaster. The birthday being celebrated here in Salisbury is the centenary of Wilts & Dorset, a company now within the Go-Ahead Group. There was a further birthday to celebrate when I took this pic: my own 65th. A happy day indeed...
