Call me a grumpy old man and a buzzkill, but one of three young skateboarders who were using this giant hoop-shaped sculpture as a ramp rolled out into very busy pre-Marathon State Street traffic. Can you see a problem brewing.
And yes, I called 911 on them. Dumb-ass kids.
And the city planner who approved this attractive nuisance to be installed in the median of a busy downtown street is an even bigger dumb-ass than the skaters. At least the skaters had the excuse of being teenage boys, a group whose mantra is, more often than not, "Hey, dudes -- watch this!".
