"Please Help"
In all the time/years I've known the people on the street, especially under the tracks, I can't recall them ever referring to themselves as "homeless".
It's just never brought up. I'm sure it isn't an intentional thing that they avoid saying. I always thought of it more like "They aren't homeless. The street IS their home."
So this sign really struck me. Sure, it's stating the obvious, but its also a sign of desperation. I wonder if there was some kind of realization as they were writing that word. Did someone think "How did this happen to me?"
