Boat Creek, Redwood National Park, January 2020

Though this was a day without crowds, my goal was to see nobody at Redwood National, and aside from the parking lot, mission accomplished. Instead of heading into the populated Fern Canyon, I headed further north, found a creek and decide to explore upstream. I could only get about 20 minutes in before it was impassable with downed trees so I headed back. It was the beginning of a fun adventure which involved maneuvering around two elk herds, seeing a nice sunset and crossing a marsh/bog after dark that took me in waist deep. The drive home could be described as squishy.
