Federal Express (FedEx) - McDonnell Douglas DC-10-10F (MD-10-10F) - N560FE (c/n 46938/153) - Deonna

This aircraft was delivered as a standard DC-10 passenger carrying variant (DC-10-10) to Western Airlines (N905WA) in May 1974. It would wear the same registration for a number of years through a variety of operators - Capitol Airlines (July 1981), Pacific East Air (November 1982), The Hawaii Express (April 1983), World Airways (March 1984), Arrow Air (November 1984), Air Panama (September 1985), and Air Hawaii (November 1985), before entering service with American Airlines (AA) as N168AA (along with a switch from CF6-6D1A to CF-6-6K engines) in October 1986.

Federal Express would purchase the aircraft in November 1999, re-register it as N560FE, replace the CF6-6K engines with CF6-6D engines) and then convert it into a freighter. It was also updated to MD-10 standard, which allows for a common-type cockpit with the MD-11.
