Kalitta Air - Boeing 747-251B(SF) - N790CK (c/n 23112/595)

This 747 was delivered originally as a passenger carrying 747-200B (747-251B) to Northwest Airlines (NWA) in May 1984 as N632US. In August 2005 the aircraft was converted into a "Special Freighter" and re-registered by NWA as N632NW. As N632NW it flew for NWA Cargo from August 2005 until October 2008, when Northwest was taken over by Delta Air Lines. N632NW continued to fly for Delta until December 2009, when it was placed into storage. The freighter would remain in storage until August 20, 2010, when it was acquired by Kalitta Air. Kalitta Air would soon re-register the aircraft as N790CK on August 30, 2010.

UPDATE (January 2016) - On August 28, 2012, N790CK was taken out of service and placed into storage at Oscoda–Wurtsmith Airport (OSC / KOSC), formerly Wurtsmith Air Force Base, in Michigan.
