Omni Air International (OAI) - Boeing 757-23A - N549AX (c/n 24528/250)

This Omni Air International 757 has served with a wide variety of operators since it was first delivered brand new to Air Belgium in October 1989 (as OO-ILI). Icelandair briefly leased the aircraft under the same registration in 1996, then Sunways Sweden operated the aircraft as "Lennart Johannson" (registered as SE-DSM) from March 1997 until November 1997, when the aircraft was acquired by Tombo Aviation (as G-BXOL).

Under Tombo's ownership it has been leased to a series of operators, including Britannia Airways (still as G-BXOL) in December 1999, then to Air Holland (as PH-AHP) in April 1999, followed by Transavia (still as PH-AHP) in April 2000, British World Airlines in May 2001 (as G-OBWS), MyTravel Airways (as G-CCMY) in May 2002, Kampuchea Airways (as XU-123) in October 2003, One-Two-Go and Orient Thai Airlines (still as XU-123) in December 2003, returning to Tombo as N549AX in August 2004, before starting service with Omni Air in September 2004.

UPDATE (July 2014) - Not long after this photo was taken, N549AX would be placed into storage at Victorville, California (VCV / KVCV), on November 15, 2010. On December 6, 2010, the aircraft was acquired by Federal Express (Fed Ex) (re-registered N939FD, and named "Camilla") for conversion to cargo configuration. The aircraft entered regular service for FedEx upon completion of the conversion (to Boeing 757-23A(SF) standard) in October 2011.
