I took this photo to bring with me to England. The literature the foreign exchange people sent me said I would want to bring photos to show friends and stave off homesickness. This may be why Mom let me take the photo -- she was categorically anti-photo for many, many years.
Mr. l33twave just turned 40, and it occurred to us that our parents, as captured in photos, were our current age when they were taken. We both agree -- we don't feel as grown up as our parents seemed to us at the time.
