Gathering Place, 602 Clinton Street, Defiance, Ohio. Built in 1892 at Clinton and Fifth streets, the building initially was called the Citizen's Opera House. It was designed by architect Harry G. Carter and had a seating capacity for 1,010. It was later renamed Valentine Theatre and was closed in 1994. The upper floors were once the Henry Hotel. Since 1996 it has been occupied by two different churches.
