Day 15: June 3
I hate the hot spell we're having, but it means I'm having to get particularly creative with the outfits so that I don't also wilt from the heat. I was feeling fanciful today, despite the 90-degree-F temps. Here's more flamenco influence.
--Black cotton voile tank dress with deep V neckline, underbust seam, full skirt, a fantastic tiered hem in circular gores, plus contrast seaming in plum, lilac, and acid green, and embroidered floral medallions on the skirt (there's also one on the left side of the chest, but it's not visible under the jacket). --Purple linen short jacket with front ties (only the bottom one is tied), 3/4 sleeves, baby ruffles at neckline and cuffs. (Newport News)
--Black patent t-strap sandals with low wedge heels. (Ross)
--Hair twisted up and back on the sides, the rest put into low braids on either side of the head, with a couple of purple silk flowers on one side.
