First and Last wreck

First and last scooter wreck. Don't want to do that again. I walked away. I was wearing a helmut, gloves, jeans and boots.

 

I was turning from 529 to Fry and I took the turn too fast. I went straight into the ditch! First I thought, "Great, I'm gonna crash." Followed immediately by, DAMN, I'm gonna hit that pole!"

 

Sure enough. I hurt my knee, but not too bad - more stiff than hurt. The pole however, did some damage. It looks like road rash, but it is not. It is an impact hit - there is no scrapping of the skin - this is bruising or a contusion as my husband put it.

 

Very nice, warm people stopped to see if I was OK. I should have exchanged business cards or something - I really liked them.

 

I was very upset with myself, embarrassed and what have you.

 

I did call my husband and have him ride it home.

 

There was not much damage to the scooter and very little scratching. The tip of the brake handle broke off is all.
