LIC Development Officers Protest
A photo of the gigantic rally held by Development Officers of LIC in protest against the Anti-marketing policies of the management of the corporation.
Over 20,000 Development Officers from all over India arrived outside Parliament House in New Delhi to submit a memorandum to the Finance Minister. This rally led to a total disruption of the traffic in the Capital of India and is said to be the largest rally ever held by a trade union of a Public Sector Undertaking. It has also to be noted that due to this rally all budget hotels in New Delhi were booked by LIC Development Officers and practically no rooms were available on that day
A similar rally was later held in Mumbai on 31st March 2008
