Key West - Lighthouse

This lighthouse was built in 1849, and was built higher on two occasions. The height is now 88 ft (27 m). There are 88 steps to the top. It is on Whitehead Street, near the Hemingway House. A lighthouse was first built on this site in 1825. The lighthouse was withdrawn from service in 1969, and has been converted into a museum. This photo is geotagged.
