the fog on antonio bay
actually, this is closer to stinson beach. probably just north of there.
when i was up around pt reyes/inverness for work, i re-watched John Carpenter's The Fog, remembering that it was filmed on location in Pt Reyes Station and Inverness. there are several shots in the film that are very similar to this view, where Adrienne Barbeau is supposedly watching the ghostly fog roll in toward the town as she warns everyone listening to her radio show to stay inside and lock the doors. (her radio station is supposed to be inside the Pt Reyes lighthouse).
Antonio Bay was the name of the fictional town in that film, which is overrun by the fog.
