Beautiful decoration

From the courtyard you get to the chambers that contained one or more burials. This tomb number 2, has a door flanked with two small pillars, it's said that each had a statue of sphinx on its top.

These limestone tombs, are painted to simulate alabaster and marble.

They are decorated with multi-colored geometric patterns and fine fresco ornaments.

The tombs at Anfushi, date back to the third century BC, about 250 BC, with the late Ptolemaic and early Roman eras.
