Preparing For Touchdown !!!!!!!!!!
The young juvenile blue heron was preparing for touchdown when this image was taken. I had been watching him off in the distance when he decided to come across the water and touchdown and land near me. These birds are beautiful at this stage as they are preparing to finally receive all their adult feathers which will make them totally blue. When they are young they are completely white. Nature is always amazing !!!
