Colias interior bilateral gynandromorph
I never thought I would take a picture of a photograph, but here is one. I collected this bilateral gynandromorph Colias interior in northern Wisconsin in the 1990s. I no longer have the spcimen as I gave it to the Milwaukee Public Museum. The left side is purely male, but the left side is mostly female, with the exception of a patch of male coloration on the upper right section of the right hind wing.
