Winter Magnolia

Winter Magnolia Campbellii, Wellington Botanic Garden, New Zealand. A large tree from the sheltered valleys of the Himalaya growing to 30 metres (100 feet) with very large flowers (to 25 cm or 10 inches). This particular very large tree was planted in 1935 and first flowered in 1950.
