Cabinet card by Root, Aledo, Illinois, of an elderly lady, with a bonnet, sitting in her rocking chair. Dates from around 1890. The photographer was William H. Root, who was a photographer in Monmouth, Warren County, Illinois, in 1880. He had two brothers, Emerson A. Root, and Melville Root, who were also photographers in Monmouth.
