M-18 "HELLCAT" DIORAMA...THE ROAD to BASTOGNE

To keep mind from melting during temporary "grounding" due to surgery decided to work on long standing under the workbench project.

Small tribute to my fathers participation in WWII European operations as a crewman on the M-18 tank destroyer. His uniform unit patch attached to the diorama next to a 1/35 scale replica of the "Hellcat".

Recent tutoring, thanks Ken, in the use of an airbrush and the current building, weathering and detailing techniques was a great help in not having more glue than plastic on the finished model.

Scale: tank w/gun-8"x3", base 12"x6".

Additional practice at lighting, flash and set ups for photo shot.

My brain did not melt...a few unintentionally painted items and several fingers glued together however!!
