1/32nd SOPWITH TRIPLANE "BLACK MARIA"
1/32nd scale model kit of Canadian Lt Raymond Collishaw's Sopwith triplane flown circa 1917 with the Royal Naval Air Service in France. He was credited with 34 victories while flying combat in this type aircraft.
Wingnut Wings kit took me roughly five months to complete. The rigging ( support wires) being the most difficult and time consuming for me. My progress at turning gray plastic into realistic looking wood with acrylic and oil paint has come along well. Weathering done with water color pencils and pastel chalks.
