Old Amherst County (VA) Courthouse

This attractive structure in downtown Amherst, Virginia, served as the Amherst County Courthouse from 1872 until the 1990s, when a newer building was completed. I haven't been able to find much additional information about this building, so I'm not sure if it is still used for local or county government purposes.
