Amherst Artwork
While stopping briefly in Amherst, Virginia, a couple of weeks ago, I noticed some examples of very attractive artwork on the side of this building. According to the marker on the left side of the building and an online article from the local paper, the art was part of a project undertaken by art students at the local high school, with the individual murals honoring notable people in Amherst history. Three of the murals are visible in this shot, and the marker at the left indicates the project was implemented in 2012.
