chiffon holiday cake

maybe i'll ask santa for a camera for christmas because this cell phone business isnt really working :o(

 

Anyway, I made this cake in class; its a citrus chiffon cake, filled with lemon curd, crumb coated with italian meringue buttercream and covered with fondant ( Satin Ice).

 

I had an urgency and had to leave class to I decorated it at home.

 

As proud as I am of it, for some reason, I adore the tree. I just love how clean and simple it is. To each their own, eh?
