N74183 C-54A Skymaster
Operated by Florida Aircraft Leasing, this was one of, at most, a handful of active DC-4s in Florida by 1987. It had been operated variously by American, Eastern, Flying Tigers and Pacific Western subsequent to its USAAF service.
In the early 1990s N74183 was sold in California and painted as 90392, to represent a USMC R5D-2Z. It was displayed at MCAS El Toro, now closed, and later stored at MCAS Miramar. It is part of the collection of the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum (currently closed), which hopes to relocate to the El Toro Hangars in City of Irvine, Orange County, CA in 2023.
