Holbeck High Level.
4472 Flying Scotsman passing the closed Holbeck High Level station running LE from Doncaster to Leeds Central to work 1X75 "The KWVR Centenery Special" to London Kings Cross 16th April 1967.
The engine had left Doncaster boiler leading but had travelled round the triangle from Wortley South to West Junctions to turn before arrival at Leeds. The signal on the gantry in the off position is not for 4472 but for the Class 110 on the left which is routed to the right towards Bradford Exchange.
The signalbox visible just at the end of the boiler is Holbeck South Junction which will close two weeks later with the commisioning of Leeds PSB when the layout here will be completly remodelled to access to and from Leeds City station and the closeure of Leeds Central.
