A species of satyrine butterfly found in South Asia and Southeast Asia - from the Himalayas, Kangra to Sikkim and Bhutan; from Bengal, Southern India and Ceylon. This form is fairly common throughout Burma; it extends to China and far into the Malayan Subregion.
