Initially, the salvage cement in front of the aquarium, and the rocks in the side, too, is to prevent dirt and sand from splashing on the glass when it rains. This aquarium tank is located close in an area where the roof does not have a rain gutter; however it does still gets dirty when it rains, but not as much as before when the ground was bare.
I can't wait for the Ajuga and Bacopa monieri to spread out to prevent or mitigate the disturbance of sand and dirt around the area.
