I’ve Seen Myself Naked

 

I’ve seen myself naked and I am afraid

I saw a small squirrel run into my shade

I’ve seen myself naked and I am aghast

I need to lose poundage and I do mean fast

My clothes are not fitting

Theres fat to the core

I’m crushing the sidewalk

I’m breaking the floor

I have to turn sideways to get through the door

 

I’ve seen myself naked and I must admit

I long for the days when clothes would just…fit

I’ve seen myself naked its time to repent

Its time to replace the forks I have bent

Its fruit and celery and lettuce abhorred

Its pizza and caffeine and sugar adored

I’ll change my ways now

By moderation be known

Before I depart like a bag full of scones

Before I explode and flitter away

I’ll change my lifestyle and see better days!
