The two-story octagonal Norrish House (also known as the Claflin-Norrish House) was built in 1858 of cut limestone that was later stuccoed over. Noted features of the octagonal house is the windowed cupola and wrap around porch. The house is in the West Second Street Residential Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is one of five pivotal residences contributing to the character of the district.
