This photograph of the Cass Gilbert designed depot was taken in 1994 after the structure had been renovated. The depot was put in service in 1900 and was closed in 1979. The building with transverse gable, half-timbering and heavy bargeboards was built in the Shingle Style, but has strong elements of the Tudor and Craftsman styles. For example, the Tudor style is exemplified in the street side gable end. The open porch, or porte-cochere, supported by stone columns and gable wooden beams are Craftsman style influences. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places. To view 1987 photographs of the structure before renovation go to www.flickr.com/photos/23711298@N07/3481660246/
