Georgia, Columbus, Brick Kiln (Relocated)

Brick making began near Columbus, Georgia as early as 1840. The Bickerstaff family started producing clay products in 1885. The kiln in the photograph was built at one of the Bickerstaff plants. It was relocated and restored at Heritage Corner in Columbus. (Source: A plaque at the site.)
