B-17G Flying Fortress, U. S. Army Air Force / U. S. Air Force (44-83624), Delaware, Dover Air Force Base, Air Mobility Command Museum

The B-17G at the Air Mobility Command Museum was built in 1944, too late to serve in World War II. For most of its service time, the aircraft was used for secret U. S. Air Force projects, and in experimental and developmental projects. In 1957, the aircraft was retired from active military service.
