Minnesota, Olmsted County, Ralph Stoppel Farmstead, Pump House

The pump house (on the right) is located beneath the windmill to shelter the pump and other workings that moved water from the ground. The pump house is located near the dairy barn and the milk house. Water pumped by the windmill was used by livestock and used to cool cans of milk stored in the milk house awaiting pickup.
