fool's gold

I went to the newly centrally-located key shop on campus and noticed that the parking lot was sprinkled with a gold dust. Or is it caviar? Anyway, best I can figure is that it's dumped out of their key-cutting machines, though I don't really believe that theory, either. I just haven't thought of a better one yet.
