Lost In Time...

We were standing on a bridge overlooking the Durango & Silverton Railroad. We were fortunate to catch this fast moving freight/passenger train (Extra 177) working its way through the valley. It was great to hear the train whistle echoing throughout the mountains. If you listen closely, you too might hear the rumble of the locomotive.
Actually this was one of the many working models at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, Colorado. They actually had working models of steam engines. Since I have some railroad blood in me, it was a great outing which reminded me of the enclosed old song by Roger Miller.
