Fallen...
This juvenile Great Horned Owl fell out of his tree and landed on the ground about twenty five feet from me. He was trying to hang onto every branch and leaf on the way down and appeared to have a fairly soft landing. We stared at each other for about 20 minutes which allowed me to get a few photos before he disappeared into the brush. Wildlife photography is all about timing. It was an exceptional day at Fontenelle Forest.
