My name is Choua and I was born on July 21 1995. I am 11 years old. I am the second to the youngest in my family. There are seven people in my family. I have one brother and three sisters. My oldest sister is married with a son. This coming up fall I will be attending Cleveland Quality Middle School. Some of my favorite hobbies are making music. I like to make music by playing the clarinet and piano. I also can make music by singing. I have been playing the clarinet for about three years. I love to take pictures and communicate friends and family. Some times I can be a bit shy but can become very annoying and talkative. When I’m out of things to do I just write poems. At times I love to do homework because it can very amusing. My biggest goal in life is to become a lawyer. If I could, I want to finish high school, college and law school. This will be a very good experience for me. And I would like to reach my goal. I like to work with In Progress because they have really cool workshops that we can attend. In Progress is a very good experience and a very awesome program and if I ever get the chance I would came back to work with In Progress.
My artwork captures the thought of who I really am. In a glimpse, they will immediately know who I truly am: a proud Hmong-American. The loss back in Laos has taken us to where I am today and made me who I am.
