Inappropriate Exclamation Marks
So i know there are few here that will and have tried to justify what the Isreali Defence Force is doing in Israel. I have to admit that whilst Hamas are no doubt rubbing their hands in glee at the positive press they are receiving at present they are undoubtably conducting their own wee war against Israel as they fire indescriminate rockets attacks into Israel. That is obviously wrong in itself. That said the response from the Israeli's is disproportinate even tho i understand their wish to try to bomb Hamas into submission.
Having lived in Israel 20 odd years ago i am ambivalent as to what is the right and wrong of this. Obviously the innocent civilians being killed by the israeli forces is wrong and some way has to be found to stop the bombing.
Having lived in the North of Israel i understand what it is to come under rocket attack, albeit that the rockets landed half a mile away from us we still heard it and wondered what the hell was going on. I had my 21st Birthday in a bomb shelter not because we were being bombed but because it was more or less sound proof!!
Having also lived in the old city of Jerusalem and seen at first hand the division between the religions and the arab and jew i really don't know what the solution is. Each are as hardline as each other and seem to become more entrenched as they go along.
I supported this march because we live in a democracy and are allowed to protest but i really have no answers.
And as for the exclamation marks well they aren't right as it seems to add something extra which i think wasn't the intention.
