Initial attempt
I was hoping to acquire comet Neowise C/2020 F3 visually since I know it azimuth angle/elevation angle and time, but it was too faint to be seen. I waited untill I knew it should already be visible, then I used a phone app to check the azimuth angle, and estimated the elevation angle. Set the zoom to 70 mm for initial acquistion and just took a picture. Unfortunately the LED on the camera was not contrasty enough for me to know I had acquired it. I keep taking pictures and adjust the camera angles from the tripod for several minutes until finally I was able to see it clearly in the camera display because the sky was darker. Intially I manually put the focus setting somewhere inside the infinity range, but later on I decided to use liveview for better precision. It took several more minutes later using live view to correct my focus issue.
When I got home, i was suprised to find out that my first shot had captured the comet
