tonight while I was running, I was thinking about all the terrible places in the world there are to live, where hunger lurks around every corner, and violence stands in every doorway.
I was messing around trying to come up with a subject to shoot, and I pulled out this box of pasta, which I often resort to when I can't think of anything to shoot, and it brought back my thoughts from my run. It got me thinking about how many calories this simple box represents, how much wealth, and how much I can take it for granted. Obesity is a problem of wealthy nations. This box has enough calories to feed a small family, and I can afford to play with it.
