welcome to Schertz
This is quite literally the other side of the tracks from the town I live in. To the right of this picture (on the other side of the road) are active train tracks.
Cibolo and Schertz are towns in transition. I live in Cibolo, but to me as a new comer, it's hard to distinguish between the two. It was a sleepy farm town until probably about 10 years ago when developers started buying up the farm land and building McMansions. Now, three miles from this building are huge plazas with all the big boxes and fast food stores. It's kind of amazing. If I turn right from my subdivision, I'm in 2011. If I turn left from my subdivision, I'm in 1960.
