Bertie the Bond

My Bond Equipe 6 - it belonged to Bond Cars Limited in Preston until the factory closed in July 1970, when it was acquired by the Works Manager as a part of his redundancy package. It came into my family in 1972.

 

It's older than the plate and, amongst other features, has the first Mk.2 engine supplied to Bond for trial installation (Vitesse Mk.2 engine no.2).
