Lilly Bridge Trail (6)
At the west end of the Lilly Bridge is the trailhead for the Lilly Bridge, the Climbing, and the Lilly Bluff Overlook Trails. Lilly crosses Clear Creek in the Clear Creek Canyon, which is part of the Obed Wild and Scenic River area of Morgan County, Tennessee.
My son and I took the short, but rugged, Bridge Trail out to Melton Mill Branch and Fall. This series documents this little hike. It's short, but so beautiful, and the multiple falls on Melton Mill Branch is the icing on the cake!
Numerous free climbers also take this trail to try their hands on the Lilly Bluff walls. The trail is well used, and probably was used by "long hunters" all the way back to the first Indians that hunted this canyon area long before Columbus.
All you need are sturdy hiking boots, a walking pole, or two, and a camera!
