N28TN Trans Northern

Douglas C-117D (DC-3S) (cn 43354) Seen in it's element in the vicinity of Palmer, Alaska which is northeast of Anchorage.

 

Built as C-47A 42-24345 for the USAAF and tranferred to the USN as R4D-5 BuNo 39080 and later modified to an R4D-8 with a new (cn 43354).

 

Civilianized as N2071X, then to Millardair Ltd as C-GCKG and later to Ken Borek Air.
