How on earth was this place created? I've heard the explanations, winds, inland seas, rivers, but don't know nearly enough about soft limestone to make it sound convincing.
This place is insane, especially with a wild exuberant Japanese artist to keep you company, and hiking with cans of beer. That wasn't my idea, but it will be next time!
What kind horror did its ancient inhabitants witness? It's a drastic measure to build underground cities beneath these formations. Multiple levels, expansive pitch black labyrinths, just to avoid getting caught.
